The Burj Khalifa is the world's tallest building, a megatall skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, that stands at 828 meters (2,717 feet) high with 163 habitable floors. Opened in 2010, it holds multiple world records and is a mixed-use building featuring luxury residences, corporate offices, a hotel, restaurants, and observation decks. The building's design, created by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, was inspired by the Hymenocallis flower and features a central core with a Y-shaped floor plan for aerodynamic stability.
